Can anyone tell me where would be a good place to fish at night along Fox River?!? I've been going to a spot near the "Village Squire" restaurant in Dundee off of Route 72. Wasn't sure if we were allowed to fish there until the cop rolled by without saying anything. I guess it's ok. We've been there for the past 4 weekends now.
Believe it or not, we've been doing great there. Caught a good amount of smallies, ranging from 13" - 19", catfish (43" was the biggest), and a few good sized drums. I'm new to Fox since i live in Chicago. I'd like to try other spots at night since that's the only time I have during the week.
If anyone knows where, post the spot with directions. thanks.

You have to be careful there on the west bank of the fox there is spots where fishing isnt allowed now due to that god awful river walk being put in, my sister has an apartment on the same side by the footbridge you see to the north, i set up on the east bank directly across from her window.
I am going to try going directly off that bridge wednesday night if you want to come out, have atleast 10 pound spooled up.

thanks for the info. i wish i can go but i work on the weekdays. i limited my fishing down to the weekends only. but you'll definitely see us there on the weekends at the parking lot behind squires.

I pm'd you back but you will know that by the time you read this, so thats pointless, i was right there today at the mini mart thing getting smokes and took a walk across the street right there and low and behold the fish were alive in the middle of the day, came home got involved with my gear and never went out, oh well there is always thursday, but if you want to do a sunday thing come on out let me know ahead of time so i can make sure im not out getting salmon.

Plenty of people make fires and fish near the Montgomery dam in Aurora/Moongomery area. I have caught some decent channels there as well as carp. I have seen guys pluck out eye as well.
